game was sum else
Hello,
I played your game on my stream the other day. I was really impressed with what was achieved using just RPG Maker. As a proof of concept, this is really cool, but beyond a proof of concept, it has a lot of flaws.
Unfortunately mouse-look aiming feels terrible due to a form of mouse acceleration that makes aiming imprecise, which is also compounded by wonky hit detection. Many times I felt like I was hitting the enemy but the hit never registered.
Similarly, 8 directional, grid based movement in a first person game, doesn't feel very good and once again lends to a feeling of being imprecise.
By the end, the combat began to feel very repetitive and uninteresting. I hope that if you ever expand on this concept, you are able to enrich such a cool execution in such a focused, niche engine - though perhaps you may want to consider moving the project into an engine that can handle FPS controls better.
Anyways, here is my stream. You can use the time stamps to skip to when I start playing your game. Also, I just want to apologize for not informing you about my stream sooner.
cool man thanks for the feedback. It is janky rpgmaker goodness and everyone knows it. The next time I try to this I will try to use a better method than the grid based stuff .
good
love the game
